Sleeping high and dry…


Perhaps you recognise this: following a busy day in the fresh open air, you feel at one with nature.

 

You’d love to sleep in the woods, just to hold on to that feeling.

 

And then wake up and continue your hiking or cycling tour. Well, now you can! We offer you the unique opportunity of sleeping in a tent that is suspended from a tree! There’s little luxury and comfort, but lots of atmosphere, and you’ll be high and dry during the night. Your tent gently rocks along with that magnificent tree trunk…

Fancy some breakfast?

You can! Just let us know under “Package” on your booking form, and we’ll make sure a delicious breakfast will be waiting for you in the shop each morning! 

 

This full breakfast package comprises: 2 freshly baked hard rolls and 1 croissant per person, 1 thermos flask of hot water for tea or Wiener Melange (a type of coffee), tea bags and Wiener Melange, orange juice or other fruit juice and various types of sandwich filler, both sweet and savoury.

 

EUR 14.00 for 2 adults, EUR 4.25 per child.

What are the costs?


There have been 3 tree tents at Camping Site De Hertshoorn since 1998. They hang close together, in a secluded spot on the camping site.

 

The price per tree tent per night for a maximum of 2 adults and 2 children is EUR 50.00.

 

This does not include tourist tax at EUR 0.85 per person per night.

Ready for use!


The tree tent is ready for use upon arrival.

 

Inside, you’ll find two semi-circular mattresses, which are large enough for 2 adults and 2 small children. A light is fitted in the top of the tent. There is a picnic table for each tree tent, but you must bring all other camping paraphernalia. So don’t forget your pillow, pillow case and sleeping bag!

When are they available? Want to make a booking?

The 3 tree tents are very popular, especially during the weekends, so make your booking well in advance! There is often one available on weekdays outside the school holidays. Please bear in mind that our restaurant and snack bar are often closed on Mondays during quiet periods.
