Walcheren Island is unique in many ways. It is characterised by its own dialect, the historic town of Middelburg, the Chelsea buns, tilting at the ring and so much more. All contribute to making Walcheren such a unique place. Using ‘Ons Buiten’ as your base, you can go out and explore all these special features that Walcheren has to offer.

The picturesque village of Oostkapelle is at walking distance from the camping site. Here you can go for your grocery shopping, browse at the market (Thursdays) and lots more. In addition to Oostkapelle, Domburg is certainly also worth visiting, whereas the historic towns of Middelburg and Vlissingen are all within reach.

The natural scenery in the surroundings is very attractive, the woodlands, the beach and the countryside alternate each other in the surroundings of 'Ons Buiten'.

Finally, the surroundings have a wide variety of entertainment on offer, such as Waterland Neeltje Jans, Arsenaal, Bambini, and lots more. During the summer, various locations organise must-visit activities and festivals on a daily basis.
