About the location
Camping de Zandhegge is located in Emst, on the northeastern edge of the Veluwe, with the forests and heathlands quite literally as its backyard. From the campsite you can head straight into the nature reserve by bike or on foot, where with a bit of luck you'll spot red deer, roe deer and wild boar in the nearby Kroondomein. Nearby are the cosy villages of Epe and Vaassen, and for culture and history you're quickly at Het Loo Palace, Cannenburch Castle or one of the striking sites along the Liberation Route. The charming Hanseatic towns of Elburg and Hattem, and the IJssel valley, are also within easy reach. A place where peace, nature and a touch of history come together.
