Hoenderdaell Estate is a beautiful animal park in Anna Paulowna, about a 20-minute drive from the campsite. The estate is a beautiful nature reserve where an animal park has been created. Tigers, lions, camels, wolves, hyenas, elephants, zebras, lemurs and all kinds of birds have made their home here. There is also a bird garden where the birds fly around you and even sit on your shoulder. It's a wonderful day out for walking and playing with the children, as Hoenderdaell also has several playgrounds where they can play.

The Hoenderdaell estate is located in the Anna Paulownapolder. The estate is situated in the middle of a 64-hectare nature reserve that was originally part of the Wadden Sea area. After visiting the animal park, nature lovers can enjoy a walk through this quiet area.

Because nature here is free from human influence, flowers and plants can thrive. The past has also influenced the growth of flowers and plants in this area. For example, the rear part of the quiet area was excavated in the Middle Ages and later filled with sea silt, which meant that the sea influenced the vegetation. In addition, the excavations and embankments have created differences in height, resulting in a great diversity of flora.

Animals can also roam freely in the quiet area. Red deer, emus, rheas and Scottish Highland cattle roam freely. Walkers can discover fox tracks and nesting birds, and the work of various rodents can be seen on the banks of the Oude Veer.
