About the location

Camping It Wiid is located in Earnewâld, right in the heart of De Alde Feanen National Park, Friesland's largest peat marsh. From the campsite you can step straight onto the water: the Frisian lakes, canals and inlets are literally on your doorstep. Earnewâld has always been a watersports village and is regarded as the gateway to the national park, with the visitor centre just around the corner. Leeuwarden is about a 15-minute drive away, Drachten is a similar distance, and the lively village of Grou can be reached both by water and by bike. A place where you can hop straight into a boat, cycle past picturesque Frisian villages, or simply enjoy the peace and quiet of nature.
