How the Ardoer review system works
At Ardoer, we ensure fair and reliable guest reviews, submitted exclusively by guests who have actually stayed at an Ardoer-recognised campsite.
1. Only genuine guests can leave a review
After checkout, every guest receives an email inviting them to complete a review. Only guests who have actually booked and stayed can do so, and a maximum of one review per stay is allowed.
2. A detailed review, not a single score
Rather than a single rating, guests complete a detailed review covering aspects such as hospitality, facilities and cleanliness, and the pitch or accommodation. This creates a complete picture of the campsite.
3. All reviews are visible, including critical ones
All guest reviews are published, both positive and critical. A campsite cannot simply have a review removed; only reviews from non-guests or those containing inappropriate language are deleted. Owners do get insight into their reviews, so they can continue improving their hospitality.
4. A minimum score of 8.0 to carry the Ardoer name
Every Ardoer-recognised campsite must score at least an 8.0. If a campsite falls below this threshold, it loses the right to use the Ardoer name. This means you can trust that every campsite listed here has already earned that reputation.
5. Your opinion matters
Have you recently stayed at an Ardoer-recognised campsite? You'll receive an invitation to share your experience. This helps fellow campers make their choice and helps the owner continue improving their hospitality.
