Camping on Beveland: water, polders and Zeeland tranquillity
Two islands, two characters, one thing in common: you barely need to touch the car. Walk up the dyke, grab a surfboard or cycle through the polder. Ardoer has two campsites on Beveland that give you the perfect base to do just that.
Campsites in Beveland
Zeeland at its finest can be found on Beveland. To the south lie the quiet polders of Zuid-Beveland, where you camp right on the Western Scheldt. To the north, Lake Veere awaits on Noord-Beveland, with water and open space in every direction. Ardoer has a campsite on both islands to match your way of holidaying.

Camping in Zeeland? Beveland deserves a place on your map
Beveland is actually made up of two islands that complement each other. Noord-Beveland is the domain of Lake Veere: calm inland water, ideal for watersports and sailing. Zuid-Beveland has a completely different character: open polders, winding dykes and direct contact with the Western Scheldt. Together they form one of the most varied camping destinations in Zeeland.
Ardoer has a campsite on both islands that perfectly reflects the character of the area:
- Camping Scheldeoord in Baarland (Zuid-Beveland): directly behind the sea dyke of the Western Scheldt, 200 metres from its own family beach.
- Camping and Villa Park De Paardekreek in Kortgene (Noord-Beveland): directly on Lake Veere, with watersports and a covered water play area.

What makes camping on Beveland special?
On Beveland you immediately feel you're in Zeeland. The light is different, the landscape is wide open and the sea is never far away. Both campsites sit directly on the water, so you can choose: the salty, wild character of the Western Scheldt, or the calm, sheltered Lake Veere.
What you can expect at and around both campsites:

Two campsites on Beveland, each with their own character
Camping Scheldeoord – Baarland, Zuid-Beveland
Scheldeoord is located at the southernmost tip of Zuid-Beveland, directly behind the sea dyke of the Western Scheldt. Just 200 metres from the campsite lies the Scheldt beach: a peaceful family beach that gently slopes into the sea. The campsite has a heated indoor pool, an outdoor pool with giant slide, paddling pools and a water play area. Pitches are generously laid out, with a choice of standard pitches, chalets, safari tents and a chalet with private sauna. The surrounding area – the Zak van Zuid-Beveland – is designated as a National Landscape and invites cyclists and walkers.
Camping and Villa Park De Paardekreek – Kortgene, Noord-Beveland
De Paardekreek is situated directly on Lake Veere, 500 metres from the village of Kortgene. The park is a watersports paradise: both beginners and experienced visitors find their way on the lake. The covered water play area with slide is popular with younger guests. On site you'll find a Grand Café and a snack bar, and the entertainment team is active during school holidays and public holidays. The villa park villas are partly situated on the waterfront, with views over the winding creek running through the park.
