Schouwen-Duiveland is the island for a camping holiday you'll never forget. With vast dunes, kilometres of clean beach and Oosterschelde National Park just around the corner, this Zeeland island has it all: water fun, nature and a fresh, salty atmosphere. Ardoer has three family campsites here, each with its own character. From a lively beach park to a secluded dune retreat.
Schouwen-Duiveland is renowned for its wide, clean beaches. Renesse is the most popular beach village in Zeeland, with excellent beach pavilions and safe swimming water. Camping & Beachresort Julianahoeve and Camping Duinoord are within walking distance of the beach, Duinoord even has a direct passage through the dunes.
For those who prefer swimming at the campsite: Julianahoeve has an outdoor pool with water playground, Ginsterveld has a lovely pool in a forested setting. Camping Duinoord is intentionally kept small-scale; here nature is the attraction.
🌳 Oosterschelde National Park | Seal spotting, salt marsh walks and unique tidal nature, a short distance from all campsites.
🚶♂️➡️ Brouwersdam | Impressive section of the Delta Works with views over the Grevelingenmeer. Popular for walking, cycling and kitesurfing.
🌾 Dunes & Forest areas | Ideal for cycling tours and hikes from the campsite, especially around Ginsterveld and Duinoord.
🛝 Day trips for children | Adventure parks, petting zoos and educational visitor centres around the Delta area.
Whether you're arriving with a tent, caravan or motorhome, or prefer to stay in a hire tent, lodge or chalet, on Schouwen-Duiveland there's a perfect spot for every family. The campsites offer:
Camping pitches:
Standard to comfort pitches, some with private sanitary facilities
Rental accommodation:
Such as tents, chalets, lodges or hiker's cabins
The three Ardoer campsites on Schouwen-Duiveland each have a different atmosphere and level of facilities. This is no coincidence; we believe the campsite should fit your holiday, not the other way around.
Camping Duinoord has direct beach access through the dunes — ideal if you want the beach truly around the corner. Julianahoeve is right next to the popular beach of Renesse, including beach pavillions and surfing opportunities. Ginsterveld is within cycling distance of the beach.
Camping Duinoord is the go-to choice for those who want to put nature first. The campsite is intentionally kept small-scale: no large entertainment programme, but dunes, birds and beach tranquillity within walking distance. Ginsterveld offers a good balance between peaceful woodland surroundings and modern facilities such as a swimming pool.
Julianahoeve and Ginsterveld all have a swimming pool. Julianahoeve also has a water playground. Camping Duinoord has no pool of its own, but is situated directly by the beach.
Yes. All three campsites can be booked directly via Ardoer.com, with no reservation fees through third parties and always at the best price. This way you have direct contact with the campsite.
In addition to the beach and swimming pools, Schouwen-Duiveland offers adventure parks, petting zoos and Oosterschelde National Park. Ginsterveld and Julianahoeve organise entertainment programmes during school holidays.
Pet policies differ per campsite. Check the policy of your chosen campsite when booking, or contact the campsite directly.
Choose Julianahoeve if you want plenty of facilities and want to be close to the beach at Renesse. Choose Ginsterveld if you want to combine peace and a woodland setting with a swimming pool. Choose Duinoord if you want to put nature first: small-scale, direct beach access through the dunes, no entertainment programme.
